My name is Sophie Bearman

Welcome! I currently lead special projects for The San Francisco Standard, the fastest-growing local newsroom in the US. Previously, I was their director of multimedia, leading the newsroom's video, photo and social departments. I've worked for TheStreet.com and CNBC. Most recently, I took 6 months off from work to hike 2,650 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail. When not busy storytelling, I can be found camping with my husband or reading a good fiction book. I'm a graduate of Columbia Journalism School and Harvard University.
